Position Overview:

Arctiq is looking for an Observability Implementation Consultant to design, implement, and optimize observability solutions for enterprise customers. This role focuses on migrating legacy monitoring platforms to Datadog, enabling full-stack observability, and implementing AI-driven alerting and automation. The consultant will work closely with customer stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and production-ready monitoring solutions

Contract: 6 Months


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Datadog-based observability solutions across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments
  • Lead migration from legacy monitoring platforms (e.g., LogicMonitor) to Datadog
  • Deploy and configure Datadog agents across distributed environments (Linux, Windows, cloud)
  • Build dashboards, monitors, alerts, and service maps aligned to business and technical KPIs
  • Implement log ingestion pipelines, APM tracing, and metrics correlation
  • Configure Datadog Watchdog for anomaly detection and AI-driven alerting
  • Enable serverless and database monitoring (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, SQL/NoSQL systems)
  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) for repeatable observability deployment
  • Implement security best practices including PII masking and access controls
  • Collaborate with customer teams to define SLOs, SLIs, and alerting strategies
  • Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and operational handoff


Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on Datadog experience (APM, logs, metrics, dashboards)
  • Experience migrating from other monitoring platforms (e.g., LogicMonitor)
  • Proficiency in observability concepts (traces, metrics, logs, alerting)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
  • GIT and CI/CD experience (Github, GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with serverless and database observability
  • Strong troubleshooting across distributed systems
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills


Preferred:

  • Datadog certifications (Associate or Professional)
  • Experience with AI-driven observability (Watchdog)
  • Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, finance)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
