The Content Strategist, Senior Associate, develops healthcare-focused marketing content, translating business objectives and subject matter expert insights into compelling, audience-centric deliverables. Working closely with the Healthcare industry marketing team and business stakeholders, this role shapes content that engages Huron's target buyers and advances them through the buyer journey. The position requires a versatile skill set, with the ability to write across formats - from social copy and campaign messaging to editing SME-driven thought leadership and developing original thought leadership from the ground up. It combines exceptional writing and editorial skills, along with a strong collaborative mindset, to create high-impact content that strengthens healthcare marketing campaigns and supports business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Content Development & Execution
  • Create, edit, and adapt content across a wide range of formats and levels of complexity - from short-form social copy, campaign messaging, and derivative assets to long-form thought leadership, including both editing SME-authored drafts and developing original pieces from concept through final copy.
  • Write, edit, and optimize (SEO and accessibility) health care content assets - including case studies, thought leadership articles, landing page web copy, social media posts, video, and other derivative content - to engage Huron's target buyers
  • Develop content pieces that align with campaign objectives, ensuring integration across channels and touchpoints. This includes drafting original content and editing SME-written pieces into clear, client-ready narratives
  • Contribute to content and campaign creative briefs.
  • Apply brand, voice, and style guidelines to ensure quality and consistency
  • Adapt content, messaging, and storytelling approaches for different channels, personas, and stages of the buyer journey, creating audience-centric experiences that drive engagement and progression through the funnel
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools for research, ideation, drafting, and content optimization

Project Ownership
  • Manage discrete projects, such as campaign deliverables, editorial streams, or event-related content, ensuring content is delivered on schedule with minimal oversight.
  • Oversee timelines, deliverables, and workflows, proactively managing competing priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong time management skills, balancing multiple projects while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Coordinate approvals and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose or extend content across campaigns, channels, or business units.

Collaboration & Influence
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to extract insights, ask the right questions, and shape their input into clear, compelling content.
  • Partner with HC industry marketers as well as peers across marketing, creative, and digital to amplify content impact.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing by documenting processes, lessons learned, and emerging best practices.
  • Actively participate in and contribute to enterprise marketing meetings and collaborations, demonstrating leadership presence, collaboration, and alignment with Huron's values.
  • Share insights on content performance and recommend refinements to improve audience engagement and campaign impact.
  • Regularly employ A/B testing and other methodsbest practices.

Growth & Leadership
  • Informally mentor associates and analysts, offering guidance on writing and content best practices.
  • Take initiative by leading portions of team discussions, presenting work to stakeholders, or piloting new processes/tools.
  • Contribute to codifying Huron best practices for content development and integrating them into workflows and style manuals.

Technology & Tools
  • Proficiency with project/content management systems (CMS).
  • Skilled in SEO and content optimization tools and emerging AEO/GEO trends
  • Comfortable using AI-powered solutions (e.g., generative AI, workflow automation).

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • 4+ years of content/marketing experience, including ownership of discrete projects.
  • Familiarity with healthcare and life sciences industry trends, stakeholders, and terminology
  • Professional services or B2B experience preferred.

The estimated base salary range for this job is $85,000 - $115,000. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $97,750 - $132,250. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
