Job Title: Associate Business Intelligence Analyst
Location: Pensacola, FL
Work Schedule: hybrid, onsite 3 days a week (2 days remote)
Pay Rate: Open to only W2 (no c2c)
Position Type: Multiyear Contract

We are seeking a mid level Business Intelligence Analyst. Candidates must be able to pass both a credit and criminal background check. LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED. We are able to work with W2 candidates ONLY (no c2c). Candidates must be able to work for any employer and not require any type of sponsorship now or in the future.
This role is for a junior-to-mid-level Business Intelligence Analyst with the heaviest emphasis on SQL, dashboarding (Power BI/Tableau), reporting, and business-focused data analysis. This is NOT a senior role.
The Associate Business Intelligence Analyst role is an entry-level to early-career analytics position focused on helping business leaders make data-driven decisions. The analyst collects, cleans, analyzes, and visualizes data from multiple sources to identify trends, measure performance, and provide actionable insights. The role involves building reports and dashboards, supporting KPI tracking, conducting root cause analysis, responding to ad hoc reporting requests, and partnering with business stakeholders to translate business needs into reporting solutions. Strong technical skills in SQL, BI tools, data analysis, and communication are essential.
We are looking for someone with:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field
  • 1-5 years of professional experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or analytics
  • Strong SQL and Power BI/Tableau skills
  • Experience creating dashboards and KPI reports
  • Ability to explain data insights to business users
  • Some exposure to Python, ERP/CRM systems, and data governance practices

Description
Support business decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to leadership via dashboards and reports.
Analyze business problems and issues using business intelligence tools that incorporate data from internal and external sources. Entry level professional with developing skill set and a basic understanding of procedures and analysis techniques.
Responsibilities
  • Follow standard procedures to create and/or update basic reports and dashboards
  • Identify trends or patterns and help prepare ongoing reports and data visualizations in order to support business decision
  • Contribute to reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems
  • Partner with leaders and senior staff to define specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements
  • Support and participate in team projects and initiatives
  • Utilize and adhere to data governance documents and procedures; alert supervisors if any inconsistency or inaccuracy is discovered during the course of reporting or analysis
  • Collect, aggregate, and analyze data from multiple sources, including structured and unstructured data sets, to drive insights into business performance
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns and prepare ongoing reports and data visualizations in order to support business decisions
  • Develop, maintain, and manage reports, dashboards, and BI solutions
  • Produce actionable reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations, and display root cause analysis of problems
  • Use analytics and metrics to improve processes and provide data-driven forecasts of potential costs, risks, and profits of new business initiatives
  • Provide reporting solutions and respond to ad-hoc report requests within the business area
  • Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, or related field
  • 1-5 years of experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Proficiency in SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning
  • Experience designing scalable dashboards and self-service reporting solutions (Power BI or Tableau)
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business problems into clear analytical requirements, success metrics, and reporting solutions
  • Moderate skill using business intelligence applications and/or cloud services
  • Moderate knowledge of reporting capabilities of existing ERP, CRM and/or database software vendors
  • Moderate skill in complex data manipulation across multiple tables
  • Effective data integration, cleaning and validation skills
  • Skill communicating data analysis and visualizations to nontechnical and senior audiences
  • Experience with data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python
