About the Role
iCapital is looking to hire a Fund Origination Associate / Assistant Vice President to support its growing alternative investments feeder fund business. This role will report into a Senior Vice President on the Fund Origination team. This individual will focus on new product development, product structuring, manager onboarding and fund lifecycle management. This role will be responsible for leading and helping manage the onboarding and product lifecycle of various alternative investment vehicles across structures and asset classes prevalent in the market. Primarily, these will be funds created to invest into or alongside specified 3rd-party alternative asset managers "feeder" or "conduit" funds for the wealth management channel. This team stands at the heart of iCapital's growth into new markets and fund structures.
Responsibilities
  • Support projects related to onboarding new funds and working across the organization to assure on-time and successful completion.
  • Prepare fund marketing materials with the appropriate information, including updates.
  • Coordinate with the internal Compliance and Legal teams on review and approvals.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of materials related to new fund approvals and new fund launches.
  • Prepare and disseminate project progress notes.
  • Input and update fund governance details on a regular basis.
  • Assist in various ad hoc fund launch activities.
  • Work with key wealth management clients and their service providers (attorneys, fund administrators and transfer agents), communicating processes and requirements, recommending best practices and leading overall project management to launch their funds on the iCapital platform.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or another related field
  • 3-5+ years of product structuring experience with exposure to fund administration, fund management or custodial relationships
  • Experience in alternative investments with a focus on various fund structures is required
  • Positive attitude, and a desire to work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter that is accustomed to project work with tight deadlines
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize assignments
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $145,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
