Job description

Under direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor), over the General Ledger unit, the Associate Accounting Analyst independently performs complex duties and responsibilities and assists all positions within the Financial Reporting and Compliance Branch. This position's primary responsibility includes complex financial and accounting transactions such as analyzing, interpreting, and implementing GASB pronouncements, reconciling and preparing General Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP) Financial Statements, Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, and Budgetary/Legal Basis Financial Statements. Implementing Governmental Accounting Standard Board (GASB) pronouncements and contributing to day-to-day cost reallocation, asset creation, disposition, reconciliation. This includes detailed researching, analyzing, and preparing journal ledger entries and providing recommendations or alternatives regarding the complex assets that impact fiscal year-end financial reporting.
