Cost Accounting Analyst - Let's Talk Numbers!
Are you someone who loves digging into the details, making sense of numbers, and figuring out where things can be more efficient? If so, we've got a great opportunity for you! We're looking for a Cost Accounting Analyst who can keep a close eye on inventory, track cost movements, and help fine-tune our reporting processes. If spreadsheets, reconciliations, and problem-solving excite you, keep reading.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Answer costing-related questions from different teams and auditors-think inventory pegging, cost fluctuations, and making sure everything adds up.
  • Prepare journal entries, analyze general ledger accounts, and reconcile inventory records.
  • Improve inventory reporting by keeping a pulse on material costs, labor, and overhead.
  • Track and report inventory balances across different product lines while keeping an eye on variances and quarterly classifications.
  • Ensure internal controls are solid and up to date, supporting both internal and external audits.
  • Look for ways to make accounting processes more efficient and participate in cross-training with teammates.
  • Support projects and provide financial insights when needed.
  • Work closely with Procurement and Operations to ensure inventory costing is accurate and makes sense.

What You Bring to the Table
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 4 years of experience (OR a graduate degree with 2+ years of experience OR 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree).
  • Experience in cost accounting-especially in operations or manufacturing.
  • SAP expertise is a big plus, particularly in pegging and distribution.
