Job description

The Sales Forecasting Analyst plays a key role in driving business performance across Trove Brands' international accounts through accurate forecasting, data analysis, and actionable insights. This role analyzes sales trends, point-of-sale data, and market dynamics to improve forecast accuracy and support strategic decision-making. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance, the Sales Forecasting Analyst helps align demand forecasts with broader business and operational plans. This role is ideal for a proactive, analytical problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts using historical sales, point-of-sale trends, market dynamics, and retailer performance data.
  • Analyze performance across products, retailers, and international accounts, translating findings into actionable business insights and recommendations.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, identify drivers of forecast variance, and recommend adjustments to improve future performance.
  • Support promotional, seasonal, and new product launch planning by anticipating changes in demand and sales volume.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance to align sales forecasts with demand, inventory, and production planning.
  • Leverage data visualization, AI tools, and automation workflows to improve analytical efficiency, reporting, and business insights.
  • Support Sales representatives in building collaborative relationships with external retail merchant teams while monitoring relevant industry and market trends.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science/Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a retail business analyst, sales forecasting, or similar analytical role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including lookups, PivotTables, conditional functions, and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, customer-focused approach.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting international retail accounts or working within international sales environments.
  • Knowledge of retail industry best practices and retailer forecasting processes.
  • Experience with Omni or similar retail analytics platforms.
  • Experience with Python and/or SQL.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and presenting data-driven insights to stakeholders.
