Job description

The Sales Forecasting Analyst will play a key role in identifying sales trends and providing insights that drive business performance for our international accounts. The ideal candidate is proactive, analytical, and creative in their approach, with a strong ability to plan, problem-solve, and think strategically. This individual should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a collaborative environment. A positive, energetic attitude and strong customer service mindset are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts by analyzing historical data, point-of-sale trends, and market dynamics.
  • Conduct analytics to evaluate performance across products and retailers and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, identify root causes of variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support promotional planning, including product launches and seasonal sales surges.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, finance, and sales teams to align forecasts with production and demand planning.
  • Stay current on industry trends and translate insights into impact.
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., LLMs, automation workflows) to enhance analytical efficiency and uncover deeper insights.
  • Support sales representatives to build strong collaborative relationships with external retail merchant teams.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of retail industry best practices; an international focus is preferred.
  • Extensive experience with data visualization software; experience in Omni analytics platform preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including lookups, PivotTables, conditionals, data analysis).
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Python and/or SQL preferred.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation, commitment, positivity, and integrity.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science/Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of retail business analyst experience; international account experience preferred.
