Working cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance, the Sales Forecasting Analyst helps align demand forecasts with broader business and operational plans. This role is ideal for a proactive, analytical problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts using historical sales, point-of-sale trends, market dynamics, and retailer performance data.
- Analyze performance across products, retailers, and international accounts, translating findings into actionable business insights and recommendations.
- Monitor forecast accuracy, identify drivers of forecast variance, and recommend adjustments to improve future performance.
- Support promotional, seasonal, and new product launch planning by anticipating changes in demand and sales volume.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, and Finance to align sales forecasts with demand, inventory, and production planning.
- Leverage data visualization, AI tools, and automation workflows to improve analytical efficiency, reporting, and business insights.
- Support Sales representatives in building collaborative relationships with external retail merchant teams while monitoring relevant industry and market trends.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Science/Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a retail business analyst, sales forecasting, or similar analytical role.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including lookups, PivotTables, conditional functions, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
