Analyst, Business Services (Part Time)

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The mission of World Trade Center Utah (WTC Utah) is to accelerate growth for Utah businesses through our global network, programs, and services to make Utah the crossroads of the world — one business at a time. The core components of this effort include Business Advisory, International Programs, Marketing and Partnerships, and Finance and Administration. All business areas work together to provide small businesses with international opportunities, develop international growth strategies, and help execute those strategies around the globe. WTC Utah works with companies in every industry across the state, identifying and delivering on opportunities to drive their global growth.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support delivery of WTC Utah’s world-class service to small & medium enterprises (SMEs), which includes:
    • Evaluating a company’s readiness and international strategy to provide insightful guidance and counseling.
    • Identifying and defining a client’s consumer base, both domestically and internationally, to strategize product and service positioning.
    • Generating and delivering custom market research to guide companies venturing into new countries.
    • Coordinating go-to-market strategy development and implementation planning.
    • Organizing outreach to and vetting of in-market vendors, buyers and other key international partners.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and teams to enhance communication and service optimization.
  • Coordinate occasional trainings on international business essentials.
  • Present custom research and briefings to clients and other key stakeholders.


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • In-process for a Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing analytics, statistics, or related disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-dimensional projects.
  • Proficiency in public speaking and presentation delivery.
  • Experience in business, industry, and/or global economic analysis.
  • Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis and spreadsheet development, PowerPoint, and AI tools to maximize productivity.

Preferred QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, economics, or related disciplines
  • 2+ years’ relevant experience in B2B consulting/advising; experience in a professional services environment is a plus.
  • Trade industry, Customs processing or other international business experience.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Euromonitor, and/or database management & analytical tools.
