About the role:
The Senior Accountant owns significant portions of PDQ's month-end close, and serves as a go-to resource for accurate, timely financial reporting. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you'll own complex reconciliations, review work prepared by Staff Accountants, and drive improvements across accounts payable, accounts receivable and revenue. This role suits an experienced accountant who wants ownership and the chance to help build scalable processes in a growing SaaS business running NetSuite. Our accounting team is AI-forward, and we actively use modern tools to automate the close and reporting, so the team can spend it's time on analysis and judgement.
How you might spend your day:
  • Own and complete complex account reconciliations and journal entries to close the books each month
  • Review staff accountant work across AP, AR, and month-end reconciliations; provide
  • coaching and feedback
  • Oversee revenue recording and ensure billing, deferred revenue, and recognition are
  • accurate
  • Manage AP and AR workflows, resolving escalations and strengthening controls across
  • the cash cycle
  • Prepare and review audit support schedules and draft variance explanations for KPMG
  • Partner with FP&A on the monthly reporting package and investigate account variances
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Payroll, Revenue, and external
  • auditors
  • Contribute to team initiatives, process improvements, and strategic goals
  • Support continuous improvement through feedback, learning, and innovation

We're looking for people who have:
Must Have:
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of the full-cycle month-end close
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge under US GAAP, including reconciliations and
  • journal entries
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and hands-on experience working within an ERP
  • Proven ability to manage multiple close deadlines independently and accurately

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • SaaS or subscription revenue experience, including revenue recognition under ASC 606
  • Active CPA license, or active pursuit of one
  • Experience using AI tools to automate accounting workflows or the month-end close
  • Experience supporting external audits and mentoring junior accountantsNice to Have:
