The primary focus of the Academic Advisor is to meet the academic advising and customer service needs of new and continuing students enrolling into the Associate & Bachelor Degree Programs at the Parma, Akron and Solon Campuses of Bryant & Stratton College; to coordinate and/or facilitate activities that include new student orientation; monitoring and tracking student retention, student success and student outcomes data. This position also requires a focus on departmental and front desk administrative processes and duties.
Job Duties
  • Student Advising, Onboarding, and Registration
    โ€ข Facilitation of new student and continuing student retention activities
    โ€ข Managing and maintaining Academic Reports
    โ€ข Maintaining proper documentation/academic files/corresponds to both students and faculty
    โ€ข Track and Monitor all of students' academic progress/reports/folders
    โ€ข Participates with other staff members in the planning, directing and monitoring of special campus events/projects.
    โ€ข Researches and analyzes statistical data and performs data entry
    โ€ข Collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient processes and student satisfaction
    โ€ข Managing all Banner and SSRS activities
    โ€ข Completes education verification
    โ€ข Organizes and distributes various student evaluations
    โ€ข Assists in both internal and external auditing
    โ€ข Assists with retrieving via various management systems
    โ€ข Assist in monitoring and tracking student support service activities, faculty office hours
    โ€ข Performs various administrative duties as assigned
    โ€ข Front desk administration as needed
    โ€ข Other duties as may be assigned by the Dean and/or Campus Director.

WORK HOURS:
  • Monday: 8:30am-6pm
  • Tuesday: 9:30am-7pm
  • Wednesday: 9:30am-7pm
  • Thursday: 8:30am-6pm
  • Friday: 8am-12pm
