Cottage Grove Memory Care - 48 Cottage Grove Circle, North Chili, NY

Homestead Memory Care - 256 Thurston Rd, Rochester, NY

Status: Full Time, Part Time, Variable Hour

Shift: Day, Evening and/or Night - All candidates must be willing to work rotating weekends and Holidays

Position Requirements: 1 year of elder care or direct care experience is preferred. Licensure or certification is not required for this role/Training provided. Current HHA, PCA, CN certification Preferred but not required.

RPH is looking for caring professionals to assist elders with all aspects of daily life (Bathing, Bathroom, Dressing, Meals, Cooking, Light Cleaning, Elder Engagement).

Job Description:

  • Supervise and assist with daily dental & mouth care, bathing functions, dressing and undressing, hair and nail care, shaving, bowel and bladder functions, making bed and changing linen.
  • Perform restorative & rehabilitative procedures as developed on wellness plan.
  • Supervise and monitor Elders' whereabouts at all times.
  • Assist activities team in providing resources to stimulate and engage Elders in individual and group activities.
  • Validate, reassure & redirect Elders if distressed to ensure comfort and well-being.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in Elders' rooms and laundry.
  • Supervise and assist Elders with room upkeep, personal laundry and community housekeeping.
  • Prepare meals, serve and clean dining and kitchen area.
  • Ensure Elder's room is ready for receiving Elder upon admission.
  • Assist Elder with transition to new environment.

Candidates must be willing to assume responsibility as Head of Household and work in diverse roles to care for a "family of Elders." Responsibilities include personal care assistance, meal planning and enrichment recreation.
