Logistics Support Specialist Reports to Warehouse SupervisorJob Description Provide logistics support for inbound and outbound material movement, ensuring accurate documentation, timely deliveries, and strong collaboration with customers, vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders.Essential FunctionsBe the primary contact for all incoming suppliers, carriers, and internal customers and respond in a timely manner.Work with all internal departments to strive to meet our customers' requirements, while always maintaining a professional demeanor. Provide parcel freight quotes and rates to the Sales Team as needed.Primary contact for scheduling pick-ups from our local suppliers and vendors. Back up Assistant Supervisor when out and record product shipments on a computer with an accurate packing slip, BOL, Pro Number, etc. When problems arise, notify the Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor and partner with them to resolve the issue. Update the Shared Truck Schedule Calendar for outbound shipments. Additional ResponsibilitiesFollow all safety protocols and create a safe working environment for all warehouse associates.Provide support and assistance to the Warehouse Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor as needed.Be able to back up Supervisor, Assistant Supervisor, or Warehouse positions as needed. Account and work to resolve any shipping discrepancies.Ensure work area and storage areas are maintained to the housekeeping standards.Perform cycle counts as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsMust have excellent communication and organizational skills.Good attendance record.Basic math skills. Experience with computers and office environment software.Self-motivated, self-starter, personable.Be able to obtain a tow motor license. High school diploma or equivalent.
