Position Title Assistant Director for TRIO Student Support Services Job Type Full Time - 12 months Division Academic Affairs Department Academic Success Center Job Location Crete, NE (68333) Position Summary
If you are passionate about educational equity and student success, we want to hear from you! The Assistant Director for TRIO Student Support Services works directly with the Executive Director of Academic Support Services in all facets of the TRIO SSS program to oversee the first-year experience for incoming TRIO SSS students, summer outreach to students and families, participation in Enrollment Days, and assisting with the coordination of Welcome Week and TRIO-specific sessions.
In this highly collaborative role, you will work with the Academic Engagement Coordinator to manage and develop TRIO events throughout the year, work closely with the Executive Director of Academic Support Services to supervise the TRIO Tiger Peer Mentorship program (recruiting, training, and coaching mentors), and teach one section each of College Mastery and Career
Development per semester. You will also serve as a TRIO Specialist, meeting individually with assigned students per program regulations.

FLSA Salaried (Exempt) Salary Minimum $52,000/year Minimum Required Qualifications
This position requires a Master's degree in education, education counseling, social sciences, higher education, or a related field. We will also consider developmental education, social work, multicultural studies, or higher education in student affairs.
We are looking for at least two (2) years of experience in a post-secondary or advising environment, higher education and academic support, work in areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and supervision of youth or young adults. You must also have experience working with specific guidelines and regulations due to the specific needs of the TRIO SSS grant.
Experience must demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, motivational, and collaboration skills; organizational abilities; and the ability to work successfully with diverse and underrepresented populations in individual and group settings.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to extensive work experience in a TRIO project (or program with similar purposes), and those with a background similar to the students served in the TRIO SSS program: first-generation college student, lower socioeconomic status, or a student with a disability.
