Job Description:

Employment Terms: This job is a full time, benefited, FLSA exempt position in the Student Affairs Division that reports to the Executive Director of Student Affairs. This position will be assigned to the Alpharetta - North Fulton Campus and may occasionally work at the Lawrenceville campus.

Salary: Targeted salary is commensurate with education and experience $58,000/yr

Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 41016 ):

Bachelor's degree from an academic institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education and One (1) year of related experience

OR

Associate's Degree from an academic institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education and Three (3) years of related experience.

Note: An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience that provided the knowledge, experience and competencies required to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted on a year-over-year basis

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree AND Two (2) years related work experience. Knowledge of Veterans Administration Educational benefits, policies, and procedures. Knowledge of Disabilities Services as required by The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Strong presentation skills. Experience working with diverse student populations.

Job Summary:

Under general supervision the Manager - Student Support Services is responsible for coordination, development, monitoring, and completion of project initiatives associated with the Office of Veterans Affairs and Special Populations. Duties include broad and comprehensive experience, skill, and knowledge of Veterans Administration benefits and Special Populations Services, which include Disability Services, policies and procedures in support of the department.

Conduct group information sessions for perspective students (15%)

Enter and review data for reporting requirements and provide data to internal and external customers (10%)

Advise, assist, and refer students to community resources and provide one-on-one support guidance (15%)

Develop, implement, and oversee the maintenance of filing, recordkeeping, distribution of materials, and other types of office/program systems (20%)

Maintain confidentiality of records and students files, and review and disseminate student accommodations (10%)

Keep abreast of policies, procedures, and state or federal laws that may impact project initiatives (15%)

Maintain excellent working relationships with, and serve as a liaison to, internal and external customers (15%)
