A leading medical institution is seeking a Lab/Pharmacy Relocation Project Manager to centralize Laboratory and Pharmacy operations into a new state-of-the-art facility. This role focuses on leading application build, implementation, and optimization activities related to Epic Beaker (Lab) and Epic Willow (Pharmacy), ensuring a successful transition that enhances operational efficiency, scalability, and patient care delivery.
Lab/Pharmacy Relocation Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end project management for Lab or Pharmacy relocation initiatives, overseeing Epic Beaker/Willow application build, implementation, optimization, governance, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, vendor coordination, and project deliverables from initiation through go-live.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, technical, executive, and external stakeholders to coordinate laboratory/pharmacy operations, IT infrastructure, system implementations, workflow redesign, organizational readiness, regulatory compliance, and change management activities supporting the centralized facility transition.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, communication strategies, reporting structures, risk mitigation plans, resource allocations, and contingency strategies while monitoring project performance and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve complex project challenges, facilitate stakeholder alignment, manage competing priorities, support operational readiness activities, and drive successful delivery of enterprise technology initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Provide executive-level communication and strategic guidance by analyzing delivery risks, recommending governance actions, supporting portfolio prioritization, and developing recovery plans for projects facing operational, financial, or resource constraints.

Lab/Pharmacy Relocation Project Manager Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of project management experience.
  • 2 years of experience within the healthcare industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing Epic-related projects, with significant Epic Beaker and/or Epic Willow build, implementation, and optimization.
  • Proven experience leading complex technology initiatives involving cross-functional teams, vendors, budgets, schedules, and enterprise stakeholders.
  • Strong expertise in project planning and execution, risk management, stakeholder management, vendor management, budget/resource management, change management, and technology project delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate obstacles, develop contingency plans, resolve ambiguous challenges, and align projects with business strategy.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, organizational, and executive communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and lead teams of technical professionals.
  • Preferred: PMP certification and Epic certification in Clinical or Revenue Cycle applications.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of computing infrastructure, networking, software operations, disaster recovery, and experience working with Epic applications in healthcare environments.

Shift:
  • Monday, Friday. 1-2 days per week based on project need.
