At Adelante, you'll play an important role in supporting our team, our visitors, and the individuals we serve. As our Administrative Assistant/Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for many people while providing valuable administrative support that helps our organization make a difference every day.

What You'll Do:

  • Create a welcoming first impression by greeting visitors, answering questions, and directing them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Manage incoming calls by answering a multi-line phone system, routing calls, taking messages, and providing helpful information.
  • Provide administrative support including preparing documents, entering data, maintaining files, and completing general office tasks.
  • Keep office operations organized by opening the office daily, monitoring supplies and equipment, coordinating maintenance, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
  • Handle mail and communications by processing incoming and outgoing mail and distributing correspondence throughout the office.
  • Support reporting and recordkeeping by assisting with reports, organizing documentation & Invoice filing, and ensuring accurate data entry and file maintenance.
  • Collaborate across departments by providing administrative assistance and serving as a reliable support resource for staff.
  • Protect confidential information by handling sensitive materials in accordance with agency policies and confidentiality requirements.
  • Serve as a backup receptionist when needed to ensure consistent front desk coverage and service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule & Pay:


Job Type: Full-time | Monday thru Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm.


Pay from: $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two (2) years general clerical experience required.ย 
  • Experience answering multiple phone lines is also required.

Preferred:

  • Bi-lingual (English-Spanish) preferred.
  • Basic computer skills (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet software).ย 
  • Typing/keyboard, filing, entering data accurately.

Other Requirements: ย Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening. Must possess a valid NM driver's license, and proof of auto liability insurance. Must have own reliable transportation and agency insurable driving record. Must be able to sit, perform keyboarding functions continually. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder(s) frequently. Must be able to squat, kneel, push/pull and lift 10 lbs. frequently. Adelante is a drug free workplace.
