Description:

The Assistant Purchasing Manager will be responsible for the general administration of the shipping and receiving functions for venues, exhibitor kit coordination, and the verification and recording of food and non-food items into inventory, per guideline.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma/GED (Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Business, Supply Management or a related field Preferred)

Experience

ยท Minimum (2) yearsโ€™ experience in shipping and receiving, administrative/clerical position, or equivalent related field.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

ยท Excellent organizational skills; must maintain clean and orderly spaces to include office space.

ยท Solid understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing

ยท Demonstrated independent decision-making and problem-solving ability

ยท Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as professionalism and positive interactions with all encounters.

ยท Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Working Conditions

Working Environment:

ยท Must report to building, work from home is not an option for this position.

ยท Ex. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events.

ยท After hours and weekend work is required on an occasional basis.
