Job description

Summary

A growing organization is seeking a senior-level business development leader to drive revenue growth, expand strategic client relationships, and support long-term backlog development. This role will focus on identifying new opportunities, leading complex proposal efforts, and collaborating cross-functionally to position the organization for sustained success. The ideal candidate is strategic, relationship-driven, and experienced in managing large, multi-stakeholder pursuits.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic business development initiatives to drive year-over-year revenue growth
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners
  • Lead complex RFP/RFQ and proposal efforts from strategy through submission
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including operations, estimating, finance, procurement, and leadership during pursuit efforts
  • Support contract review, negotiation strategy, and risk assessment
  • Maintain CRM data, revenue projections, and reporting metrics
  • Assist with marketing materials, presentations, and industry event participation
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to align sales strategy with operational capabilities
  • Contribute to long-term pipeline planning and backlog forecasting
  • Travel as needed to support client engagement and business development activities

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or strategic growth roles
  • Experience managing complex, multi-phase proposal processes
  • Strong understanding of contract structures and risk considerations
  • Demonstrated ability to build executive-level client relationships
  • Proven success driving revenue growth and pipeline development
