Job description

Position: Assistant Project Manager
Reports to: Project Manager
Location: Port Washington, Wisconsin
Pay Range: $60,000 - $110,000
We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.
Superior and our tri-venture, CST, is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help drive our electrical construction projects forward. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for helping make operations on-site more efficient and will play a key role in our contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, and contract administration functions. This role is based on a jobsite in Port Washington, Wisconsin.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the creation and submission of RFI's, and ensure that all RFI's are integrated into the project documents
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers on the lifecycle of the project submittal process
  • Support with the creation, submission, and management of change orders
  • Capture the progress of our work by updating contract documents and photographing the jobsite
  • Monitor the project schedule and provide ongoing updates to Project Operations and Field Operations leaders
  • Work closely with the Foreman on delivery of materials and equipment to the jobsite
  • Lead project close-out, including documentation, warranties, waivers, as-builds, and attic stock
  • Begin to develop an understanding of project finances, working closely with Project Operations and Finance leadership

  • You're organized, great at prioritization, and have a strong attention to detail
  • You're a great communicator, a team player, and ready to work with colleagues across our job sites and organization

Your Expertise
  • Required: You have at least 1 year of field or project operations experience on a commercial construction site (including relevant internship experience), or a degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field - or a certificate from a Construction Management program
  • Bonus Points: You have prior experience supporting commercial construction projects in a project management capacity
  • Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
