Location (city, state): Gilbert, AZ (Onsite)

Compensation: $95,000 – $120,000 + Bonus

About Our Client:

Addison Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager on behalf of our client in the construction industry. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to advance their career in project management while contributing to the success of large-scale electrical construction projects.

Job Description:

The Assistant Project Manager will provide direct support to senior project management and pre-construction leadership, ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. This individual will also help manage subcontractors, project engineers, and documentation to support the smooth execution of all project phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support senior project managers in driving schedules and ensuring project milestones are achieved
  • Track and manage change orders, acting as a liaison between owners and field management for scope adjustments
  • Assist with project budgets and cost monitoring to maintain financial alignment
  • Oversee third-tier subcontractors, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards
  • Help prepare and submit schedules of values (SOV)
  • Supervise project engineers in managing RFIs, submittals, takeoffs, and material tracking
  • Guide the closeout process, ensuring all required documentation is delivered accurately and on time
  • Partner closely with the Quality Control team during construction and commissioning phases
  • Perform other related duties as needed to support project success

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of project engineer experience in electrical construction
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Microsoft 365, Accubid, Bluebeam)
  • Familiarity with CAD/BIM is a plus
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and industry codes strongly preferred
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Willingness to spend significant time in the field
  • Commitment to safety and quality assurance
