Job description

RBI is looking for a tenured Project Manager to lead overall administration and technical direction of commercial construction projects.

Minimum Experience: 7 Years

This position will work closely with internal and external team members including clients/owners, A/E professionals, and trade partners/vendors while continually enhancing the construction process resulting in a rewarding experience for all.

Summary of Primary Responsibilities:
• Prepare budget estimates, project bid estimates, negotiate contracts with subcontractors
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all contract documents, project plans & specifications, owner contracts, subcontracts, insurances and bonds
• Coordinate project start-up meeting, schedule and job cost report
• Prepares for, attends, and represents the company in applicable meetings including, but not limited to, the following: job “kick off”; weekly project; monthly project manager-superintendent; monthly job review; owner-architect; and management report (upon request)

• Manage & support the project activities of the on-site field superintendent(s)
• Maintain strict control of the project budget for each work activity; accurately forecast project billings and costs
• Review and control all aspects of project(s) from budget to close-out
• Prepare, quote and negotiate contract changes with client/owner
• Review and approve owner pay applications and owner and subcontractor change orders
• Assist in completion of LEED project requirements

Skills/ Requirements:
• College Degree - 4 year
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or some related field
• Minimum of (3 to 5) years of related working experience on commercial construction projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Procore, Bluebeam required
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, subcontractors and team members
• Ability to effectively lead and proactively manage teams and situations with integrity and professionalism
• Ability to multi-task and handle numerous details and timelines
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control
• Must pass full background & drug check
