Job description

Overview

The Project Engineer – Head of Construction Management oversees all construction execution activities for Yankey Engineering USA, Inc., ensuring projects meet technical, schedule, safety, and quality requirements. This role requires strong engineeringexpertise, leadership capability, and bilingual communication skills to coordinate effectively with U.S. teams, headquarters, and clients such as TSMC and major semiconductor contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage construction engineering activities across multiple project sites.
  • Oversee daily construction progress, schedule adherence, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with TSMC, GC, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and change orders; ensure compliance with TSMC standards.
  • Provide bilingual (Mandarin–English) communication support for meetings, technical reviews, and site coordination.
  • Conduct risk assessments, quality inspections, and safety audits.
  • Prepare construction reports, progress updates, and issue logs for leadership and clients.
  • Support procurement, vendor management, and material tracking.
  • Lead problem-solving for construction conflicts, design discrepancies, and field engineering challenges.
  • Mentor junior project engineers and support cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction engineering or project engineering.
  • Mandarin fluency required (spoken and written).
  • TSMC project experience is strongly preferred (Fab construction, cleanroom, MEP/HVAC, or tool installation).
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor facility construction standards.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
