Summary/Objectives:

The Engineer Assistant provides administrative, clerical, and project support to the Engineering Department. This role supports APQP activities, prepares and maintains documentation, assists with quote submissions, and ensures the engineering team’s administrative needs are met. The position requires organization, accuracy, and the ability to coordinate information across multiple teams and customer portals.


Essential Functions:

APQP / Engineering Support

  • Record APQP meeting notes, capturing discussions, decisions, risks, and timelines.
  • Track APQP action items, follow up with owners, and maintain status logs.
  • Maintain engineering project files, revision updates, and required documentation.
  • Support feasibility reviews and help generate feasibility records.
  • Assist Engineering Team with administrative tasks including scheduling, document control, and report preparation.
  • Support Master PFMEA library updates, ensuring controlled revisions and alignment across programs.
  • Maintain and update the Lessons Learned database; assist engineering with adding new learnings and ensuring data visibility and usage in new launches.

Quote & Customer Portal Support

  • Pull quote requests from customer portals and emails; prepare packages for review.
  • Manage and maintain Paumac RFQ Log; provide weekly quote status reports to management.
  • Audit quote packages before customer submission to ensure all required documents are included.
  • Submit approved quotes to customers through email and/or customer portals.
  • Support low-complexity or repeat quotes as assigned.
  • Assist with deviations and customer communication related to the quote process.

Administrative & Office Support

  • Operate office equipment (printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines).
  • Manage and maintain meeting files, engineering records, and correspondence.
  • Update and maintain various departmental reports.
  • Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with other departments as necessary to support engineering workflows.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Adhere to all company rules and policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
KPI & Management Review Support
  • Collect, organize, and maintain KPI data for engineering and APQP activities.
  • Monitor KPI performance trends and assist in preparing Management Review reporting.
  • Update KPI dashboards, charts, and performance summaries as assigned.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Adhere to all company rules and policies
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
