The University of New Mexico,College of Education and Human Sciences, Department of Health, Exercise &Sport Sciences, invites applications for a Tenure-TrackAssistant Professor in Health Education, beginning August 2026.

Responsibilities: 
The successful candidate will be expectedto teach a variety of community health education-level courses in communityhealth education potentially including the areas of Management of Health Promotion Programs; Advanced CommunityHealth Education Research; Community Health Education Program Planning,Development & Evaluation; Measurement & Evaluation in Health Promotion;and Epidemiology; advisemaster's-level graduate students specializing in community health education; andmeet the needs for service in the department, college, university, andcommunity.  The candidate is expected tomaintain an active research agenda including publishing in peer-reviewed journalsand submitting grant applications for external funding. All areas of healtheducation and community health research are welcome including (but not limitedto) behavioral health interventions, community-based participatory research,and epidemiology across all disease prevention and treatment clinical profiles.
