As we continue to innovate and expand our archives capabilities, we are seeking a Product Owner to help shape the future of our archives product line.Role Overview
As a vital member of the Product Management team, the Product Owner will frequently interact with other Product Owners, Developers, and most importantly archivists and records managers themselves to determine the needs of our clients. You will create and prioritize requirements that enable development teams to build features that help organizations preserve, discover, and share their archival collections.You Would Feel Right at Home If...

Key Responsibilities
  • 'Own' prioritization of development work for the Archives product, reporting to VP of Product, who will guide the strategy and work alongside you to move the product forward
  • Participate in the Agile process, including remote team members, acting as the expert for the Archives product and its users
  • Represent the archivist when planning features, driving new functionality development from a user perspective-understanding workflows around accessioning, arrangement, description, preservation, and access
  • Interact with users virtually and in person to ensure a complete understanding of the problems they are trying to solve; conducting product walk-throughs for both internal and external audiences
  • Assist development teams in creating a consistent, intuitive user experience for the Archives product
  • Stay current with archival standards and best practices (ISAD(G), DACS, ISAAR(CPF), EAD, Dublin Core) and understand how they inform product requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Sales, and Support teams to gather feedback and identify opportunities for product improvement
Requirements
  • A post-secondary degree or certificate in a relevant discipline is required (Library Science, Information Science, History, Archival Studies, Computer Science, or related field)
  • 3-5 years' experience in a technical environment or working with archives/records management systems
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills are prerequisites for this role
  • An aptitude for technical concepts and the ability to simplify them for less-technical individuals is integral to your success
  • Experience using a development task-management system for backlog prioritization would serve you well
Bonus Points For:
  • Prior experience with Jira and/or Aha!
  • Pragmatic Marketing Product Management training or similar certification
  • Familiarity with archival standards (ISAD(G), ISAAR(CPF), EAD, DACS) or metadata standards (Dublin Core, METS, PREMIS)
  • Experience working in or with archives, museums, libraries, or cultural heritage organizations
