Job description

Carthage College is seeking qualified applicants for the Campus Recreation Graduate Assistant position. The position can be a one-year or two-year track. Available programs include Master of Science in Business - Sports Management Track; Master of Education (M.Ed.); or Master of Science in Business - Design & Innovation Track.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and promotion of all intramural and Campus Recreation programming.
  • Assist with day-of-event logistics for every intramural and Campus recreation event.
  • Supervise student employees for our campus recreation facilities.
  • Assist student leads with the scheduling of student employees
  • Run the social media accounts for Campus Recreation and Intramurals.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and inviting presentation in all of our campus recreation facilities.
  • Oversee the running of our Tarble Arena Video Board, Lighting, and music systems to ensure a strong Gameday atmosphere for all Athletic Events hosted in the space
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree is required. Admission into Carthage College's graduate program is required. Previous experience working with recreation programs or facilities. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail. CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
