Job description

Grayslake North High School is seeking one (1) individual to serve as a Student Success (Knights Ambassador) for Summer 2026. This position is designed to support a strong start to the 20262027 school year through student onboarding, staff onboarding, and the launch of our school culture initiatives.

This role is ideal for a college student or recent graduate pursuing a career in education or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates who are graduates of Grayslake North High School, as they bring valuable insight into the student experience and school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and support new student orientation, including the development of materials and the facilitation of student experiences
  • Assist with new staff onboarding, helping introduce staff to student culture and the Grayslake North experience
  • Support the development and rollout of the school's student and staff culture vision for the 20262027 school year
  • Collaborate with school leadership to ensure a welcoming, organized, and engaging start to the school year
  • Serve as a student ambassador, ensuring systems and experiences are student-centered
  • Assist with communication, logistics, and planning related to summer student success initiatives

Dates & Commitment

  • June 15, 2026 August 14, 2026 (Flexible end-date)
  • Schedule coordinated with building administration based on project needs

Compensation

  • Compensation is $19.54 per hour  - up to 40 hours per week
  • No additional benefits associated with this position
