Overview
This position is responsible for planning, analyzing, applying work standards, coordinating and scheduling Gas Distribution Operations construction projects. The primary focus of this position is planning and scheduling of Gas Construction, and Gas Operations and Maintenance resources and projects.

Responsibilities
• Reviews manpower requirements for accuracy in the work management software as compared to as built.
• Complete other reporting as directed from sources including, but not limited to the work management software, project management software and other sources as required.
• Ensures the unhindered progress of the various stages of each job by coordinating between the different departments of the Company and with other utilities or agencies.
• Assists with the scheduling and assigning of projects based upon concentration and/or prioritization of the work types and resources required. This includes rescheduling in an efficient manner when conflicts arise.
• Conducts and facilitates monthly major projects meeting with all supporting groups within Gas Operations. Recommends load leveling based upon analysis of work requests.
• Recommends what work should be handled under special bids and contracts.
• Prepares reports, charts and graphs for use by management in evaluating the effectiveness of workforce utilization and optimizing available resources.
• May perform some temporary supervisory or on call assignments as directed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Assist with tracking project costs and assisting with budgeting and forecasting of Gas Construction projects as needed.
• May report to multiple locations in fulfilling job responsibilities.

Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree with a work background indicating a demonstrated ability to absorb information and apply conceptual skills in practical applications.
Required Experience
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines efficiently and with high quality while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications
• Working knowledge of the work methods, standards, procedures, materials and equipment utilized by the Gas Distribution Operations organization is
• Working with project management software and/or field construction experience
• Have the ability to read and understand construction drawings, material lists, computer listings, etc.
• Must effectively communicate with superiors, subordinates and Business Partners.
• General computer skills required and knowledge of MS Project and ARMS work management system is a plus.
