POSITION OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Planner (internally called a Maintenance Asset Care Leader) is responsible for leading and delivering differential improvement in the overall effectiveness, quality and sustainability of the team’s asset care strategies. They own Asset Care Strategy, Maintenance Planning and Scheduling process, CMMS health and data accuracy for their systems. Good communication skills, process rigor as well as strong technical knowledge in maintenance crafts, equipment design and function, manufacturing requirements, and maintenance processes are required to deliver effective maintenance strategies and process improvements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Safety Lead Human and Food Safety Cultivate Human Safety Culture that reduces risk to our people and communities by increasing capability to proactively discuss, identify and control risk. Cultivate Food Safety Culture that is committed to manufacturing safe food that is compliant with policy and regulatory requirements. Asset Care Leadership Lead implementation of asset care strategies for the platform (90% of All A and B Assets) to deliver plant and department objectives (Budget, Reliability, Schedule etc.). Communicate and educate effectively across the platform team and plant leaders about the impact and tradeoffs between performance, cost and asset health. Communicate spending history and prediction by work type and category to assist in budget management. Early Management point person for Asset Care Strategies and Maximo setup around new capital. Owns CMMS Data Accuracy Owns Maximo standards and usage for the team. Performs advanced data analysis to assist with problem solving efforts as well as proactively seek out issues to be resolved. Maintain technical documentation for the team. Process Leadership and Ownership Driving System Utilization (DSU): Incorporate Asset Care Strategies and MP&S in the creation and the deployment (where applicable) of the platform improvement plan. Daily Direction Setting (DDS): Participate in platform level Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly DDS and support the advancement of plans for the day when required. Maintenance Foundational Systems (MP&S, LMS, Shutdown Planning ER, Predictive): MP&S: Accountable for the development, implementation, training and execution of the Planning and Scheduling process. Independently create high quality PMs and Job Plans with well documented labor, materials, tools and instructions needed for all incoming work. Implement a work schedule that balances equipment needs, equipment availability, labor needs, and labor availability to deliver plant priorities. Coordinate with the production planner and platform team to understand and optimize equipment and labor availability. Create, lead and measure effectiveness of a work prioritization process inclusive of key stakeholders including operations, engineering, quality, safety, and other plant stakeholders. Implement LMS, Shutdown Planning, ER, and Predictive for the platform through asset care in alignment with site strategy (RE owns site strategy for LMS and Predictive). Partners with Maintenance Team Leader on asset care connections with Defect Handling (DH) and Breakdown Elimination (BE). Mentor and build capability in maintenance processes and standards. Know your Operation, Data and Technology Increase technical knowledge and aptitude to assess all incoming work and independently develop work plans inclusive of labor, materials, tools and instructions. Secure capability to independently communicate the scope of work through written documentation and verbal instructions. Reliability expertise in how the various components fit and work together to make the equipment/system run, and capable of utilizing this skill set in documenting high quality job plans.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing technical field Demonstrated leadership and working in a highly collaborative environment Success in driving results through process and teamwork Proven success reducing losses and improving performance in a manufacturing setting Demonstrated technical capability and knowledge of unit operations and machinery (at least one production platform) Skilled at communicating between work groups, cross-functional resources, and other members of the plant Foundational knowledge of data analysis systems (examples: SAP, Maximo) and decision making for results Broad experience in materials (metals, plastics, etc.), fabrication methods (welding, machining, etc.), engineering skills (reading prints, measuring), fastening methods, and lubrication principles Craft worker experience or very strong knowledge of craft duties and capabilities Knowledge of the skill level of different crafts Practical knowledge of Maximo and Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree (Technical/Science/Engineering/Mechatronics preferred) 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing technical field CMRP, MLTI certifications
