Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an Operations Analyst, Senior Principal in Dayton, OH.
MTSI is seeking an Operations Analyst, Senior Principal who will provide operational analysis and modeling and simulation support for acquisition and technology development programs focused on systems survivability and lethality. The principal objective for the Operations Analyst, Senior Principal is to identify capabilities required to defeat emerging threats which are then utilized to create technology development goals and projects.
As an Operations Analyst, Senior Principal with MTSI, you will be responsible for providing operations analysis and modeling and simulation support to the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) for acquisition and technology development programs focused on systems survivability and lethality. The principal objective for the Operations Analyst is to identify capabilities required to defeat emerging threats which are then utilized to create technology development goals and projects. You will sit in the AFRL customer facility and be an integral part of a combined government/contractor team developing capabilities for the Department of the Air Force.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
• Provide operational analysis and modeling and simulation (M&S) expertise with a focus on diverse technology areas across multiple operational domains.
• Perform research engineering through operational analysis, leveraging M&S of systems and subsystems.
• Participate in strategic planning of M&S investments, system architectures, and requirements development.
• Evaluate proposed projects for feasibility and applicability to relevant military mission areas and related activities.
• Identify and advocate for resources and provide technical information and analysis to recommend solutions and influence decisions.
• Interface with the intelligence community to identify threats to US multi-domain kill chains.
• Lead creation of analytic trade space to understand US capability gaps.
• Ensure accuracy of analysis trade space with regard to Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPS).
• Work with engineers/scientists to refine analysis plans of objectives to aid technology development.
• Assist in the annual program planning and prioritization of analysis topics.
• Communicate technically complex material to senior decision makers and major stakeholders.
• Work closely with program managers, lead project engineers, and program teams.
• Up to 20% travel in support technical interface exchange meetings.
Qualifications:
• Must possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
• At least 15-years' experience with operations analysis and M&S.
• Understanding of multi-domain systems survivability and lethality assessments.
• Experience with the generation and evolution of use cases for complex systems to include architectural studies and analysis.
• Knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis and problem identification.
• Experience with technology planning and assessments.
• Experience with DoD acquisition, requirements planning and mission design.
• Experience working with intelligence community organizations.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytic acumen.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong skills in documenting analytical questions, capability gaps, solution neutral requirements
• Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills in an environment with top tier coworkers.
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (e.g Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics). A Master's degree in a similar field is highly desired.
Even better if you have these desired skills:
• Experience providing technical and support to DoD technology development efforts.
• Experience with requirements analysis, requirements definition and verification, technology planning, air or space vehicle and systems design, systems integration, and advanced testing.
Clearance Requirements:
• Must possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
