Job description

North Fulton - Johns Creek, Georgia

Competitive Base Salary + Bonus + Commission Opportunities

Looking for Someone Ready for More

We are an established law firm in Alpharetta looking for a capable, energetic Administrative Assistant who wants more than simply another administrative job.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to become an important part of a busy professional office, learn new skills, take on increasing responsibility, and have the opportunity to earn more as they contribute more.

You might be early in your career and looking for the right place to prove what you can do.

Or, you may already be working as an Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant, Legal Secretary, Office Assistant, or similar role and feel that you are capable of more than your current position allows.

We are open to both.

Law office experience is not required. We can teach the legal side of the job. What we are looking for is someone who is smart, organized, dependable, professional, comfortable with technology, and motivated to succeed.

Compensation That Rewards Contribution

This position includes a competitive base salary, but your compensation does not have to stop there.

There are opportunities to earn additional bonuses and commissions based on performance, initiative, increased responsibilities, and contributions to the firm.

We want someone who is interested in growing with us. As you learn the office, develop new skills, and demonstrate that you can handle more, we want your responsibility, position, and earning potential to grow as well.

What Makes Someone Successful Here

The person we hire will be someone who:

  • Is highly organized and pays close attention to details
  • Learns quickly and can pick up new systems and procedures
  • Is interested in a career in the legal field
  • Is dependable and follows through
  • Has the ability to speak to prospective clients from a sales and marketing standpoint
  • Communicates confidently and professionally
  • Is comfortable using computers and learning new software
  • Can juggle several priorities without losing track of details
  • Takes initiative rather than waiting to be told every next step
  • Enjoys a busy, productive work environment
  • Has good judgment and a professional demeanor
  • Wants to take on greater responsibility over time
  • Is motivated by the opportunity to advance and increase their earnings

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

You will work closely with attorneys and other members of our team and assist with the daily operation of the office. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Communicating with clients by telephone and email
  • Handling incoming calls and correspondence
  • Scheduling appointments and managing calendars
  • Maintaining electronic files and organizing documents
  • Entering and updating information in office software
  • Preparing routine correspondence and documents
  • Tracking deadlines, projects, and follow-up items
  • Assisting attorneys with administrative matters
  • Helping keep day-to-day office operations organized and moving
  • Taking on additional duties and more advanced responsibilities as you develop

We Will Train the Right Person

You do not need to come from a law firm.

In fact, we are more interested in finding someone with the right abilities and attitude than someone who simply has legal experience on a résumé.

Because you will be working in a law office, you will naturally learn about legal procedures, client matters, case management, and other aspects of the legal process. As you become more experienced, there will be opportunities to handle increasingly sophisticated responsibilities.

Prior experience as an Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant, Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or in another professional office can certainly be helpful - but it is not required.

If you are looking for a position where your ability and initiative can lead to more responsibility, advancement, and greater earning potential, we would like to hear from you.
