JOB SUMMARY:
Under direction of the 'Senior Coordinator, Community Impact', the '2026-27 Seasonal Assistant, Community Impact'will play an integral role in all aspects of community relations and Cavaliers Community Foundation donations, events, programs, and initiatives throughout the 2026-2027 Cleveland Cavaliers Regular Season, with potential of extending into NBA Playoffs as needed. The ideal candidate must be eager to learn, a team player, and have a passion for serving the community in meaningful and impactful ways. Our Seasonal Program offers individuals a "hands-on" experience in several different business areas.
*** This is a temporary position from September 2026 - June 2027, that will work onsite at Rocket Arena approx. 40 hours per week.
*** Local candidates strongly preferred. There is not relocation assistance or temporary housing provided for non-local candidates.
PAY RATE: $15.00/HR START DATE: Sept. 21st
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages communication for all Community Impact and Cavaliers Community Foundation mail, phone, and email inquiries.
  • Supports and takes lead on the in-kind donation program from the review of the donation requests through the fulfillment process.
  • Maintains inventory of all promotional items and donation items.
  • Participates in the implementation of any Community Impact event activations including assisting the Social Impact area of the work, such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion events.
  • Assists with the execution of the team's community programs, initiatives, events, and Foundation fundraising efforts, including the Wine & Gold Gala.
  • Support recurring internal communication including community events/activations calendar, Team Member Volunteer Program (TMVP) sign-up page, and reporting to NBA's community event tracker.
  • With guidance from the Senior Manager Foundation Development & Operations, will facilitate the 50/50 Raffle program during home games for the Regular Season and into the post-season as needed.
  • With guidance from the Director Community Impact, will assist in the planning and execution of Awareness Nights during the 2026-27 season.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University (or currently pursuing a BS Degree).
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, holidays and events as assigned.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be organized, highly motivated, and team oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to lift 25 - 50 lbs.
  • Must have reliable transportation (such as an automobile) as needed to carry out a given task.
