Join a company with over 30 years of experience and innovation-Merric Millwork and Seating is a leading manufacturer in the millwork industry, proudly expanding our capabilities to include custom upholstery, metalwork, powder coating, and stone. We collaborate with clients across the country on a wide range of projects in the hospitality, restaurant, sporting venue, and senior living industries.
The Senior Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan projects for Merric Millwork & Seating. They will oversee projects with senior managers, sales, estimating, and engineering to ensure that all the customers' expectations are in line with our company policies and goals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Full project life cycle ownership Successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment.
  • Oversee a team of Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Manage project scope and changes.
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization.
  • Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution.
  • Assist in dispute, negotiation, arbitration, or litigation, as needed.
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues.
  • Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
  • Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication.
  • Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:
  • 7+ years' experience in project management in the construction industry
  • Bachelors degree in related discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in custom architectural millwork, preferred.
  • PMP certification or willing to complete within 3 years of employment
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to safely navigate a construction site.
