Responsibilities
We are looking for a talented and imaginative Senior Assistant Graphic Designer, Product Development to join our growing creative team. Our company's continued success has created an exciting opportunity for a designer who wants to contribute ideas, push creative boundaries, and help bring fun, innovative products to life. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced creative environment and enjoys seeing their concepts evolve from idea to finished product.
  • Develop original design concepts for seasonal and licensed consumer products, signage, décor, plush, dolls, collectibles and novelty items
  • Create compelling graphics, typography treatments, and product artwork for a wide variety of styles and themes
  • Conceptualize and visualize products in both 2D and 3D, including sketches, product renderings, and presentation-ready mockups
  • Research trends, pop culture, and seasonal themes to inspire new product concepts
  • Build and organize mood boards, inspiration decks, and concept presentations for internal reviews and to guide future development
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, buying teams, and licensing partners
  • Adapt designs to meet brand guidelines and licensed property requirements
  • Prepare design files/renderings and production-ready artwork suitable for manufacturing
  • Contribute ideas during creative brainstorming sessions and help shape new product directions

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, or Fine Arts from an accredited four-year institution
  • 2-4 years of professional design experience, preferably in seasonal décor, giftware, or consumer products
  • Expert in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel. Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign is a plus
  • Strong illustration skills and the ability to sketch ideas quickly is a plus
  • Experience visualizing and rendering product concepts, with the ability to think creatively and develop unique, outside-the-box concepts
  • Ability to think in three dimensions and understand how designs translate to physical products
  • Experience working with licensed properties and brand guidelines
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, highly organized with excellent attention to detail, and highly efficient, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to pivot quickly in a dynamic creative environment
  • Toy industry or consumer product design experience preferred

The pay range reflects the potential base salary range for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scope and responsibilities of the position.
