JARS Cannabis is seeking a dynamic Junior Graphic Designer with experience in print and web design to join our growing corporate team. The Junior Graphic Designer will be responsible for supporting in the execution of a variety of print and digital deliverables for our brand partnerships including but not limited to web, email, social media, print and digital advertising. In this position, you will work with cross-functional partners helping to build one of the strongest national footprints within the cannabis industry. The Junior Graphic Designer will report to the Creative Designer. Job Duties

Some of your proposed tasks in this role will include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the design and production of interactive online content, including banner ads, CRM graphics, email templates, social media, and promotional artwork
  • Collaborating with the e-commerce and marketing teams to ensure that all designs align with the brand image
  • Quick production of thumbnail layout design with photo and type integration: an eye for hierarchy and typography is a must
  • Supporting the creative team to ensure consistency in designs and content is maintained across all company platforms
  • Supporting the Creative team to review product positioning and online marketing content to identify room for improvement
  • Working with the Creative Designer on the aesthetic for campaigns, projects, and promotional events
  • Supporting Creative Designer with retail activations, brand partnership campaigns and events

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of professional graphic design experience (in-house or agency)
  • Portfolio demonstrating experience in corporate marketing and design
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects. Premiere and Adobe XD knowledge a plus but not necessary.
  • Experience designing for both print and digital channels
  • Knowledge or understanding of social content strategy
  • Detail-oriented with strong knowledge of typography, color, hierarchy, and balance.
  • Understanding of production design standards and building files to spec
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to explain rationale behind design decisions to key stakeholders
  • Personal or professional experience with cannabis is not required, however, a passion to learn and professionally progress in the industry is appreciated
