Job description

Job Summary: The golf coach manages the team's development, instruction, focusing on improving swing techniques, course management, and mental strategy. The coach oversees practices, match lineups, equipment, and travel, while fostering character, sportsmanship, and academic accountability among athletes.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct practices that develop golf skills, rules knowledge, and course strategy.
  • Supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, and team travel.
  • Teach good sportsmanship, teamwork, responsibility, and respect.
  • Monitor student eligibility, attendance, and academic expectations according to school and athletic policies.
  • Communicate and cooperate with athletes, parents, athletic administration, and other school staff.
  • Organize match lineups, practice schedules, and team expectations.
  • Ensure proper care, use, and inventory of golf equipment.
  • Follow all school, conference, and state athletic association rules and regulations.
Requirements Include But Not Limited To:
  • Instruct participants in the fundamental skill,strategy,and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
  • The students should receive instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self- discipline, self-confidence, and self-discipline, self-confidence and self-esteem.
  • Promote all activities in the school program attempting to foster school spirit.
  • Show an interest in athletes in off-season activities and classroom efforts.
  • Be innovative in using new coaching techniques and ideas in an already proven methods of coaching.
  • Provide leadership and attitudes that produce positive attitudes and and results.
  • Reports to the Activity Director

Qualifications:
  • Employment as a teacher or coach with a valid Iowa Coaching certificate or coaching endorsement.
  • Demonstrated interest in and aptitude for performing the tasks listed as well as the school's activity program.
  • Prompt and organized concerning practices and meets.

Salary: Per Schedule
