ROLE SUMMARY

The Assistant Construction Superintendent aids in the management of a single site. The Assistant Construction Superintendent helps to ensure timely and quality completion of work by managing laborers, subcontractors and third parties as well as a willingness to assist in other projects assigned by the Construction Project Manager. This position reports to the Construction Superintendent on a project-by-project basis.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in managing day to day field operations of construction sites and project components.
  • Oversee subcontractors and laborers to ensure they are doing the right work, performing at a high quality, and working within their scope.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with vendors, subcontractors, inspectors and third parties.
  • Support the Construction Superintendent.
  • Execute construction work at the site when required.
  • Aid in other projects at the direction of the Construction Superintendent.
  • Construction Project Managers or Senior Construction Project Managers.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiarity with construction processes, project lifecycle, and industry standards.
  • OSHA or other safety training certifications preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in construction management software and tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of standard safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes preferred.
