Job description

Verdantas is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting projects in Dover, DE, Wilmington, DE, and Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will contribute to infrastructure projects that improve water and wastewater systems for municipal and industrial clients across the lifecycle: planning, evaluation, design, permitting, and construction.

What You'll Do
  • Assist Project Managers with engineering design for water and wastewater facilities, applying standard techniques.
  • Perform technical engineering work, including analysis and calculations.
  • Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and visual aids.
  • Develop hydraulic models and conduct engineering analysis.
  • Participate in field investigations.
  • Prepare design drawings, plans, sections, details, and profiles.
  • Complete permitting applications.
  • Attend meetings with officials, engineers, and contractors.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited institution in Civil or Environmental Engineering with emphasis in water/wastewater.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in water & wastewater or related civil engineering projects, including design, analysis, and studies.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D preferred.
  • Familiarity with computer models for hydraulic system analysis.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $75,000 starting, with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and licensing status.
