Assistant Asset Editor Position

This is a full-time employee position. It is a hybrid position: part-in office (Salt Lake City, Utah) and part remote position.

Our staff is comprised of exceptionally talented team members who bring these clients' meaningful messages to life.

Assistant Asset Editor Duties include but not limited to:

-works closely with Asset Manager

-must be detail oriented

-dedicated to express packaging & delivery of social content to client

-Export final assets (MOV, audio stems, etc) to clearly outlined specifications.

-QC's final assets to meet specifications.

-Maintain company folder organizational structure.

-Apply fixes to existing videos including, but not limited to, spec adjustment, caption fixes, resizing, end slate replacement and more.

-Includes quick new requests for social content - new endslate, cta's etc

-Find footage and re-link assets in final project files as needed for project delivery

-ingest of project files to ensure all assets are included

-Create VTT caption files for videos across all languages.

-Miscellaneous tasks to ensure the speedy delivery of UGC videos to clients, meeting all brand requirements.

-Maintains Monday board asset tracking

Additional tasks:

-general production dept asset support

-Asset Manager support for packaging and delivery to all clients

-light editing as bandwidth allows

-Prepping project files & drives for all projects

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in video post-production, asset management or a related media/content role (internships or freelance work can count).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro(or a comparable NLE) with the ability to make spec adjustments, caption fixes, resizing, and end-slate replacements
  • Working knowledge of video export formats and codecs(MOV, MP4, audio stems, etc.) and the ability to export to clearly defined specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when performing quality control (QC) on final deliverables
  • Experience with file and folder organizationin a shared or server-based environment - comfort managing large volumes of media assets.
  • Familiarity with creating VTT caption/subtitle filesor a demonstrated ability to learn captioning workflows quickly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentwith a focus on quick turnaround for social content delivery.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills- this role works closely with the Asset Manager and the broader production team.
  • Bachelor's degree in film, media production, communications, or a related field- or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Monday.com(or similar project management/tracking tools like Asana or Basecamp).
  • Familiarity with social media platform specifications(Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, etc.), including aspect ratios, file size limits, and format requirements.
  • Experience working with UGC (user-generated content)workflows or influencer/creator content pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects or Adobe Media Encoderfor more advanced fixes or batch exports.
  • Multilingual awareness or experienceworking with localized/translated caption files across multiple languages
  • Previous experience in an agency or brand-side production environment, particularly supporting multiple clients or campaigns simultaneously.
  • Basic understanding of audio post-production, including working with audio stems and simple audio adjustments.
