What does an assistant editor do?

An Assistant Editor supports the editorial team in managing content, coordinating workflow, and ensuring accuracy and consistency in publications. Their responsibilities often include proofreading, fact-checking, organizing submissions, and assisting with the layout or digital publishing process.
