JOB DESCRIPTION
FOX News Digital is seeking a Senior Homepage and Social Media Editor to help shape how audiences engage with one of the most powerful news brands in the world.
On the FOX News and FOX Business websites and apps, you'll use both metrics and editorial judgment to oversee story placement, headline production and photo selection and editing. You'll be responsible for making rapid-fire decisions that keep readers engaged while featuring an array of content and reflecting FOX's journalistic priorities
Across the FOX News and FOX Business social media platforms, you'll apply the same mix of data and instinct to drive engagement and readership, directing the production of scroll-stopping graphics, videos, livestreams, and captions. You'll also lead independent newsgathering efforts and make decisions about social media coverage priorities.
You're a proven newsroom leader: someone who thrives under pressure, inspires confidence, embraces innovation, and will bring a relentless focus to helping FOX dominate and drive the news.
**You must be flexible to work weekends and holidays as needed.**
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead a team of homepage and social media editors on a shift basis
  • Use news judgment and metrics to curate the FOX News and FOX Business homepages, apps and social media accounts
  • Oversee headline writing, image selection, photo illustration and montage production, and livestream deployment
  • Work closely with management to set daily editorial direction across platforms
  • Collaborate with editors, reporters, and cross-departmental teams
  • Leverage artificial intelligence tools to work better, faster, and smarter
  • Work on special projects and contribute to overall strategic discussions

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
  • Newsroom experience, with managerial experience
  • Familiarity with the FOX brand and desire to help FOX dominate and drive news
  • Experience writing and editing on deadline for a major news website
  • Deep knowledge of social media, including Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok
  • Photo editing experience preferred; video editing experience a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; exceptional attention to detail

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $102,000.00-120,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
