Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Sr. Associate Dean for Undergraduate Medical Education, the Assistant Dean will work with the Sr. Associate Dean to establish new MSM partnerships in Columbus, GA. Working closely and collaboratively with others, the Assistant Dean for UME/Columbus Regional Campus directs and manages the activities of the regional campus in Columbus, GA, in support of MSM's undergraduate educational programs. The Assistant Dean for UME/Columbus Regional Campus provides oversight of administrative and financial operations for the regional campus and works with the Sr. Associate Dean and faculty leaders on mission-based budgeting and strategic planning, development, and implementation for the regional campus. The Assistant Dean for UME/Columbus Regional Campus develops short and long-range strategic goals and objectives, conceptual designs, and documentation for assigned areas.
The position works collaboratively with other decanal leaders in medical education and educational affairs. Key collaborating team members include the Associate Director/Director of the Columbus Campus. This position reports to the Sr. Associate Dean of UME.
Supervision Exercised
This position exercises formal, direct, and indirect supervision of staff members of the Columbus Regional Campus team
Minimum Qualifications
โ€ข Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
โ€ข At least five (5) years of full-time experience in the development, organization, administration,
and delivery of teaching in undergraduate medical education.

Description of Job Duty
Working closely and collaboratively with the faculty and staff, the Assistant Dean UME/Columbus Regional Campus creates and monitors central processes for the regional campus in Columbus, GA. The Assistant Dean for UME/Columbus Regional Campus responsibilities include leadership, administration, and oversight of:
1. Oversight of external academic partnerships, affiliation agreements, and onboarding of faculty associated with the Columbus regional campus.
2. Continuous quality improvement monitoring needed to be in compliance with LCME and ARC-PA standards for accreditation as they relate to the undergraduate educational programs (MD and PA).
3. Oversight of the curriculum and standards of site comparability as it relates to the campus in Columbus, GA.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Sr. Associate Dean UME.
