Assistant Construction Project Manager

At Stella Construction, we focus on delivering high-quality residential renovations, custom additions, and restoration projects. Based just north of Boston, we are a general contracting company known for craftsmanship, clear communication, and a strong client experience.


As our workload continues to grow, we are looking to add an Assistant Construction Project Manager to support both field and project operations.


Position Overview

This is a hands-on role designed for someone looking to grow in construction project management. The position supports Project Managers and helps coordinate job site activities, documentation, and communication throughout all phases of construction.


This role offers exposure to both field operations and project coordination, with opportunities for long-term growth.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Project Manager from pre-construction through project completion
  • Monitor job site progress and complete field reports
  • Help maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites
  • Assist with project scheduling and material tracking
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to support the workflow
  • Assist with budget tracking, change orders, and invoicing
  • Participate in client meetings and support communication with stakeholders
  • Help verify that completed work aligns with project plans and quality standards
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of construction experience (residential preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents
  • Familiarity with construction management software (such as Buildertrend, Procore, or similar tools) is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits
  • Full-time position
  • $28 to $32 per hour, based on experience
