Assistant Project Manager (Field & Office Coordination)

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager who understands construction from the field side and can help bridge the gap between the jobsite and the office.

At BF Construction, we build fast-paced commercial projects including tenant improvements, office buildouts, site work, stadium renovations, and exterior upgrades. We need someone who can help keep projects organized, documented, and moving by staying connected to what is actually happening in the field.

This is not a desk-only coordination role. The right candidate will regularly visit jobsites, communicate directly with superintendents and subcontractors, document progress, verify schedules, and help ensure office reporting reflects real field conditions.

We are looking for someone organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating between the field and office environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Visit active jobsites regularly to track progress and document field conditions

Take and organize project photos for daily reporting and client updates

Communicate directly with field teams, subcontractors, and project managers

Verify work progress and confirm schedule alignment with actual field conditions

Help maintain and update project schedules, lookaheads, and tracking logs

Track project milestones, pending items, and field coordination issues

Assist with subcontractor coordination and follow-up

Support RFIs, submittals, and project documentation

Help ensure crews, materials, and site readiness are aligned with upcoming work

Report field updates back to office leadership clearly and accurately

Assist with project closeout documentation and punchlist tracking

Maintain organized digital project files, photos, and reports

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Commercial construction experience preferred

Field experience or strong understanding of construction operations

Ability to read construction drawings and understand project scope

Strong organizational and communication skills

Comfortable walking jobsites and interacting with field crews

High attention to detail and follow-through

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn

Self-motivated and proactive

SOFTWARE & TOOLS

Experience with the following is preferred:

Smartsheet

Bluebeam

Microsoft Office

Dropbox

Construction management and scheduling platforms

IDEAL CANDIDATE

This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow into higher-level project management or operations leadership while gaining real-world field and project experience.

We are looking for someone who can help bring the field to the office — someone who understands that accurate communication, documentation, scheduling, and coordination are critical to keeping construction projects moving successfully.

If you are organized, construction-minded, and want to grow in a fast-paced commercial construction environment, we'd like to hear from you.

Why This Role

You won't be sitting on the sidelines. You'll be in the middle of the project — connected to the field, trusted with the details, and positioned to grow into project management.

If you take pride in being organized, proactive, and reliable — and want to be part of a team that values that — we want to hear from you.

About Us Quality work is what we pride ourselves on. We deliver the highest degree of service and workmanship to every client every time. We take accountability by doing what we say we will do – when we say we will do it. We strive for excellence in all we do. Above all, our integrity shines through our work and our culture.
