The Equipment Asset Supervisor supports the Construction Equipment Asset Manager by overseeing company-owned construction equipment within an assigned site or region. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment availability, proper utilization, maintenance coordination, and accurate asset tracking, while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational requirements.
The Equipment Asset Supervisor serves as a key resource for field operations and collaborates closely with internal teams and external vendors to support successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day oversight of construction equipment assigned to the site or region
- Track equipment location, condition, utilization, and movement between projects or facilities
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs with internal maintenance teams and external vendors
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and applicable regulations
- Assist with equipment mobilization and demobilization for construction projects
- Maintain accurate asset records, maintenance logs, and utilization reports in asset management systems
- Identify underutilized, excess, or at-risk equipment and communicate findings to the Asset Manager
- Support equipment audits, inventories, and condition assessments
- Serve as the primary point of contact for field personnel regarding equipment availability, issues, and requests
- Communicate regularly with the Construction Equipment Asset Manager and field operations teams regarding equipment needs, resource requirements, and project scheduling
Qualifications
- Experience in construction equipment, fleet management, or asset management
- Experience in highway or heavy civil construction preferred
- Working knowledge of heavy equipment operations and maintenance practices
- Strong organizational, tracking, and inventory management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a field or remote environment
- Proficiency with asset tracking systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver’s license required
