Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Assessment Analyst to provide operations and assessment analysis support to the MARCENT Plans and Policy Directorate (G-5), evaluating force structure, operations, and component performance.

Requirements:

Specific Responsibilities


  • Advise the Assistant Chief of Staff, G-5, and support the Commander and staff as required
  • Execute operational analyses and assessments of component planning and operations
  • Participate in CENTCOM and Service-directed assessments, including the CENTCOM Theater Campaign Plan, Service Campaign Plan, and other Military Operating Environment (MOE) assessments
  • Develop General Officer-level analysis of force laydown, operations, training, and component reorganization
  • Collect, analyze, review, and recommend lessons learned
  • Review forward-deployed forces' Service 60-day Assessments, provide recommended feedback, and draft endorsements for two-star level review Attend MARCENT working groups, boards, cells, and action groups; recommend improvements to staff processes and products
  • Provide After-Action Reports


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant operational assessment experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working understanding of USMC structure, capabilities, the Table of Organization and Equipment Change Request (TOECR) process, and GFM processes
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Strong analytical writing skills


Physical Requirements and Work Environment


Work is generally performed in a standard office environment at MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida. Must be able to sit, stand, and use computer equipment for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally.


Travel

  • Minimal travel required to support assessment-related conferences.
