Job description

INTERSTATES IS GROWING, and we are currently seeking a full-time Production Supervisor to join our team on the Topeka, KS site. This individual will oversee a team of 15-20 electricians, including two team leads, supporting the production of prefabricated electrical assemblies, control panels, skid packages, modular assemblies, and other industrial electrical systems. Candidates MUST have at least 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience and hold a current Journeyman Electrician license. Commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and support a team of 15-20 electricians and electrical leads
  • Coordinate daily production activities to ensure quality, efficiency, and on-time completion
  • Oversee fabrication and assembly of electrical/metal assemblies, control panels, MCCs, skid packages, and modular systems
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, company safety standards, and quality expectations
  • Train, mentor, and develop electricians and apprentices
  • Monitor productivity, staffing needs, and workflow priorities
  • Assist with troubleshooting electrical systems, conduit installation, wiring, and assembly processes
  • Collaborate with field leaders, project management, and manufacturing teams to meet production goals
  • Promote a strong safety-first and team-oriented culture
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Current Journeyman Electrician license required
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership, supervisory, or crew lead experience
  • Commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred
  • Experience leading manufacturing, prefab, industrial construction, or electrical production teams strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

This position will be located on site in Topeka, KS.
