REPUBLIC is seeking a dynamic Vice President, Marketing & Label Strategy to lead the development and execution of marketing, audience growth, and commercial strategies for its K-Pop and Korean music initiatives.
How You'll CREATE:
This candidate will serve as a key strategic leader, driving artist development, fan engagement, streaming growth, and market expansion across the U.S. and global markets. The ideal candidate will possess 8-10+ years of experience in music marketing, label strategy, or artist development, with extensive expertise in the K-Pop industry, and a deep understanding of Korean consumer trends, entertainment, cultural landscape, and global fandom ecosystems.
The successful candidate will ideally be bilingual in Korean and English, have significant professional experience in both Korea and the United States, and maintain strong relationships across Korean headquarters teams, U.S.-based Korean music organizations, and the broader Universal Music Group ecosystem. A comprehensive understanding of UMG operations, digital marketing, commercial strategy, streaming platforms, and emerging technologies-including AI-driven marketing and audience development tools-is highly desirable.
This individual will combine strategic vision, cultural fluency, commercial expertise, and operational excellence to accelerate artist growth, deepen fan engagement, and drive long-term business success for Republic Records' K-Pop initiatives.

  • Deep understanding of Korean consumer trends, entertainment, cultural landscape and fandom communities
  • Fluent in Korean and English
  • Significant work experience in both Korea and the United States
  • Deep understanding of Universal Music Group operations and organizational structure
  • Strong relationships with Korean headquarters teams and U.S.-based Korean music industry stakeholders
  • Proven expertise in digital marketing, audience development, streaming strategy, and commercial growth
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing global campaigns
  • Knowledge of AI tools and technologies for marketing, audience insights, and operational efficiency is a plus
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
