Job Summary
Nidec is seeking a results-oriented Applications Engineer to serve as the primary technical interface between our organization and our strategic customers. In this role, you will be the "technical face" of Nidec, driving business growth through successful technical design wins and ensuring the flawless execution of awarded projects. You will bridge the gap between customer requirements and our global engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
Job Description
Main Responsibilities
  • Technical Customer Management: Act as the lead technical consultant, managing all customer interactions, leading technical reviews, and ensuring proactive responses to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Strategic Growth: Collaborate closely with Key Account Managers (KAMs) to identify technology trends and promote the deployment of Nidec's latest innovations.
  • Cross-Functional Project Leadership: Coordinate with R&D, Project Management, and Quality Assurance (QA) teams to guarantee that projects meet the critical Quality, Design, and Cost (QDC) targets.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the full lifecycle of Requirements Engineering, Change Management, and Problem Resolution processes with high attention to detail.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Maintain rigorous documentation, including Open Point Lists (OPL) and Minutes of Meetings (MoM), ensuring transparency and synchronization across all departments.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify project bottlenecks and work with senior management to implement decisive actions that secure Nidec's strategic objectives.
