This position is responsible for maintenance and optimization of application software to maximize the availability and performance of business applications and services. This role may work closely with Network Administrators, Systems Administrators and PC Support personnel to analyze and resolve end user software program and connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion.
Application Administrator III candidates will have proven knowledge of one or more of the following functional areas and demonstrate the skills needed to gain proficiency in the other area.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITY
Utilize ITIL framework for Change, Incident, and Problem Management for supporting the production environment.
Develop Detail Designs based on High Level Designs provided by System Architect.
Provide experienced support for systems.
Provide after-hours problem resolution as required.
Able to develop working processes.
Collaborate and seek solutions with cross-functional teams.
Communicate and coordinate efforts between multi-disciplinary teams.
Able to quickly learn new and challenging systems to implement and support for internal and external customers.
Responsible for relevant documentation.
Functional Area #1 - Microsoft Applications:
Assist in applying, activating, and distributing Microsoft licensed products to other teams and members of the business.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving problems with hardware, software and application issues.
Assist in maintaining applications to maximize availability and performance.
Technical Skills Required (Proficient Level or Higher):
  • Microsoft Server Systems
  • Microsoft Administration including Teams and Exchange
  • Power Platform, including PowerShell

Functional Area #2 - Other Applications:
Assist in the application, activation, and distribution of licensed products to other teams and members of the business.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving problems with hardware, software and application issues.
Assist in maintaining applications to maximize availability and performance.
Technical Skills Required (Proficient Level or Higher):
  • Automation
  • Web Servers, including Certificates
  • Monitoring and Logging tools

Departmental Responsibilities:
Complete all training and assignments in a timely and effective manner.
Apply departmental standards and procedures to all assignments.
Adhere to all defined processes and procedures.
Effectively communicate with appropriate personnel.
Escalate problems to appropriate personnel, as needed.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
At least one of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in a network, computer, or management related field and proven experience in an information technology-related field.
  • Associate degree from an accredited school in a technology-related field and substantial experience in an information technology-related field.

Excellent troubleshooting abilities that can work as an individual contributor or technical lead.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability and willingness to learn and extend skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to engage constructively with peers and technical leads to communicate the technical approach, trade-offs, and technical decisions.
Experience in translating business needs and requirements into comprehensive, useful, and clear designs (e.g., logical architecture, system interaction, etc.) and artifacts.
Willing to travel as required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Repeated use of PC, telephone, and office machines.
Extended periods of sitting and concentration.
Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, and reaching in an office environment.
Consistently lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Occasionally work long, irregular hours.
Work to be conducted in office environment owned or leased by company.
Travel, as required.
